Hi, this is my attemp to render a product visualisation using outdoor scene, i usually render an interior scene or studio scene with solid colour background. In this outdoor scene i use HDRI from poly haven and use several 3d model from sketchup 3d warehouse. i use keyshot 2023 with GPU mode for this shot, its so much quicker and can get almost the same visual result as cpu mode. heres the result after post pro with Photoshop. if you have any question you can ask me anything. thank you!

Very impressive work! Would be interesting to see a clayshot of the scene.
Really nice, the lighting works really well! What disturbs me a bit is the marble table, with a square house, square sofa I would never put a round table there. But that’s a taste thing How long did it render approximately?
To not using round table actually a very good tips! I think its make sense to match the shape from other furnitures. Thank you for the insight! 1 scene with 3000x3000px takes about 1 - 1.5 hours (3000 samples) using RTX 3080.
That’s very reasonable for that resolution! And well, of course lot of things are also a matter of personal taste. Love the clay renders as well. Did you just drop one material on all? In V-Ray you have an option as ‘override material’ which I think would be nice feature for KS as well
yes i just drop the plain white material on them lol, but i save as a different keyshot file so the original still remain untouched by the clay render.
Oh, Blender also have the same “override material” feature too, does keyshot also have the same feature? i use keyshot since 2016 but still have no idea how to “override material” in a effective way.
Not that I’m aware of. I have added it to my feature request list. When I used V-Ray more I used it a lot to get the basic lighting right because materials have a big impact. If you already have a materials in the scene you tune your light to the materials which can be a bit distracting and time consuming. So most of the time with an interior I used a clay kind of material to get the lighting/shadows right before I started with materials.
It’s not so needed maybe with product renders which KeyShot is mostly used for but it still can help to tune the light in.
And it would be nice if you could exclude some materials like glass.
